Members of the Province:

Bishop Adam Musialek, SCJ

Originally from Poland Fr. Adam became the first Provincial Superior of the South African Province. He worked in the formation house in Kwa-Zulu-Natal taking care of the preparation of our candidates to priesthood. He was involved in the pastoral ministry in De Aar, Aliwal North and Pietermaritzburg. Since September 2009 he is the bishop of De Are Diocese.

Archbishop Zolile Petros Mpambani, SCJ

Fr. Zolile, a South African member of the Province, served in the formation as the novice master and the superior of scholastics in Pietermaritzburg. Also he was the member of the General Administration for six years. In February 2013 he became the fourth Provincial Superior of the South African Province. In August 2013 he became the bishop of Kokstad Diocese and now he is the archbishop of Bloemfontain Archidiocese.

Father John Strittmatter, SCJ

Originally from the United States Fr. John has served as the parish priest in many parishes in the De Aar Diocese. He has been very active in the field of social development and the eradication of poverty. In year 2012 he retired in the Monastery, Aliwal North.

Father Zdzislaw (Paul) Koscielny, SCJ

Originally from Poland Fr. Paul has been working as the parish priest in both Aliwal and De Aar Dioceses. At present he serves the faithful in Graaff-Reinet, De Aar Diocese.

Father Kazimierz (Angel) Gabryel, SCJ

Originally from Poland Fr. Angel ministered to the people of India. Since 2012 he has become a member of the South African Province. He ministered as parish priest in Graaff-Reinet, De Aar Diocese. He helped at St. Francis of Assisi parish, Durban Archdioces. At present, he is the superior and treasure of the Dehon International Formation House in Pietermaritzburg.

Father Piotr (Peter) Surdel, SCJ

Originally from Poland Fr. Peter has worked in various parishes in both Aliwal and De Aar Dioceses. For several years he has served as the novice master in Bethulie. For short period of time he moved to formation house in K-Z-N, and later he became the third Provincial Superior of the South African Province. After his sabbatical year, he worked in Aliwal North helping with parish work. In February 2023, he became the Provincial Superior.

Father Krzysztof (Chris) Grzelak, SCJ

Originally from Poland Fr. Chris worked in pastoral ministry in the Diocese of De Aar and Aliwal North. Since completing his Ph. D. Degree at the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal he works at St. Joseph's Institute in Cedara. In February 2020, he became a Provincial Superior of the South African Province.

Father Adam Maslowski, SCJ

Originally from Poland Fr. Adam has been working in both Aliwal and De Aar Dioceses, as parish priest and youth chaplain in the Diocese of De Aar. He worked as vocations director and then he served the Province as secretary, treasurer and councilor. at present, he serves as Spiritual Director in the Dehon International Formation House.

Father Bernard Tente Sompane, SCJ

Fr. Bernard, a South African member of the Province, after his ordination has been appointed as the parish priest in St. Teresa Mission in the Aliwal Diocese, then he worked in Bethulie. At present, he serves the faithful in Johannesburg, Soweto. He served the Province as a Provincial Superior. At present he is back in pastoral ministry in Johannesburg.

Father Ntsikelelo Bambatha, SCJ

Fr. Ntsikelelo, a South African member of the Province, after his ordination he ministered in St. Teresa Mission. Since May 2014 he has been working in Graaff-Reinet, De Aar Diocese. At present, he serves as councilor and Provincial Secretary. He also is the director of initial Dehonian program.

Father Sanil Michael, SCJ

Originally from India, Fr. Sanil, ministered in Middelburg in De Aar Diocese. Since 2013 he has become a member of the South African Province. He ministerd the faithful in the Archdiocese of Durban, at St. Francis of Assisi parish. Currently, he is on his sabbatical year in Rome and preparing himself in the formation field.

Father Joshua Moorosi Mpiti, SCJ

Fr. Joshua, a South African member of the Province, after his ordination received the first assignment - pastoral ministry in St. Teresa Mission. He ministered the prisoners and the faithful in Aliwal Diocese. At present, he continues his pastoral ministry in Johannesburg Diocese and serves the Province as its treasurer.

Father Zachaeus Tembo, SCJ

Fr. Zachaeus originally from Zambia graduated from St. Josephs's Theological Institute in Kwa-Zulu Natal. He helped with pastoral ministries in the Diocese of Aliwal and in Johannesburg Diocese. Currently he studies in Rome.

Deacon John Tembo, SCJ

Deacon John originally from Zambia graduated from St. Joseph's Theological Institute in Kwa-Zulu Natal. Currently, as part of his pastoral experiance, he ministered in Bloemfontain Diocese and now he continues his ministry in De Aar Diocese.
